WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools Board of Education is meeting Tuesday evening to address job cuts as the district faces a $46 million budget deficit.
District officials said up to 350 positions could be eliminated under a “ Reduction in Force ” plan. They cited falling enrollment, reduced funding, and “insufficient funds to continue programs and staffing at current levels” as key reasons for the cuts. The move is expected to save the district millions of dollars.
