BROCKTON, Mass. —
Brockton High School's choral director was placed on administrative leave after his arrest, district officials confirmed.
Matthew Cunningham, a music teacher who is listed as president-elect of the Massachusetts Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association, entered a not guilty plea on Tuesday.
Court records indicate that Cunningham faces charges including sexual conduct for a fee and trafficking of a person for sexual servitude in Brockton.
The criminal complaint was issued on Monday, and a warrant was issued on Tuesday.
Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz said the charges are the result of a lengthy investigation.
Cunningham is accused of meeting with an underage male victim on April 27, performing a sexual act and then paying through an app.
