Following an emergency declaration request by Gov. Katie Hobbs on Aug. 13, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced low-interest federal disaster loans will be available for businesses and private nonprofit organizations caused by the Dragon Bravo and White Sage fires.
Organizations in Arizona as well as the tribal nations of the Navajo Nation and Hopi, Havasupai, Hualapai and San Juan Southern Paiute tribes will be eligible for the disaster loans. The disaster declaration by the SBA covers the counties of Coconino, Gila, Mohave, Navajo and Yavapai Arizona, the counties of Kane and San Juan in Utah, as well as the five tribal nations.
