CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Tuesday marks the official kickoff of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s season here in our area, with a special event hosted by the Alzheimer’s Association.
Queen City News Chief Meteorologist Tara Lane and Now Anchor Julian are emceeing the event; both share a personal connection to the cause, having lost loved ones to Alzheimer’s disease.
The Alzheimer’s Association will host 17 walks across North Carolina this fall. Queen City News is a proud partner of five of them happening in our region: • Iredell County and Lake Norman: September 27 at Liberty Park • Rowan-Cabarrus Counties (Kannapolis): October 4 at Atrium Health Ballpark • Gaston/Cleveland/Lincoln Counties (Gastonia): October 11 at Rotary Centennial Pavilion • Charlotte: October 18 at Truist Fiel
