A 21-year-old Browning man allegedly involved in the death of Jadie Butterfly, according to a Facebook post by her father Chris, pleaded not guilty in federal court Tuesday to involuntary manslaughter and possession of an unregistered firearm.
Treyson Lee Sharp faces a maximum sentence of eight years in prison, a $250,000 fine and three years of supervised release for his involuntary manslaughter charge.
For his possession of an unlawful firearm, he faces 10 years in prison, a $10,000 fine and three years of supervised release.
U.S. Magistrate Judge John T. Johnston presided, but Sharp was released pending further court proceedings.
