The Big Sky Conference announced Tuesday that it will keep its men’s and women’s basketball tournaments at Idaho Central Arena in Boise, Idaho, through 2031.
The Big Sky shifted away from on-campus sites for its basketball tournaments in the 2015-16 season, when it began hosting them in Reno, Nevada. The conference championships were held there for three years before moving to Boise starting in the 2018-19 season.
The league’s initial agreement was to hold the tournaments in Boise through 2021. In March 2021, the league announced it would keep the tournaments there through 2026 — making the upcoming basketball season the last year of that pact.
Tuesday’s announcement secures the league’s neutral site for the remainder of the decade.
