The body of a man who jumped from a boat into Flathead Lake on Saturday was recovered Tuesday at around 2 p.m. by search teams.
According to a release from Lake County Sheriff Don Bell, on Saturday at about 4:30 p.m., a boater called 911 to report that 67-year-old David Easterly of Mill Creek, Washington, had jumped from the boat that the two of them were in. The boat was located in Flathead Lake in the Blue Bay area. Teams began searching for Easterly, and located his body Tuesday, after which it was transported for autopsy and investigation.
Ralston Search and Recovery, Flathead County Search and Rescue, Lewis and Clark County Search and Rescue and Lake County Search and Rescue were involved in the search effort, according to the release.
