WAYNE COUNTY, MI – A former Michigan police officer has been accused of assaulting the mother of his children and holding her at gunpoint.

Justice Calvin, 31, was charged on Tuesday, Aug. 19, with assault with a dangerous weapon, felony firearm, domestic violence and larceny, Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy announced in a press release .

Calvin, a former Detroit police officer, was charged in connection with the assault of a 26-year-old woman of St. Clair Shores who is the mother of his children, Worthy said.

Prosecutors said the assault happened at 11:33 p.m. on Jan. 26 in the parking lot of a Detroit nursing home. Calvin is accused of following the victim into the parking lot, pointing his firearm at the victim, forcefully removing her from the passenger side of her vehicle and p
