LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) -High pressure kept rain away from SWLA Tuesday, but it is moving away and rain will return starting Wednesday.
Rain will still be fairly limited Wednesday, and most likely in the afternoon to early evening hours. Otherwise temperatures will still be warm with highs in the low to mid 90s and heat indices in the 100 to 105 degree range! So use caution if you are going to be outdoors, drink plenty of water and take frequent breaks.
By Thursday we will have more scattered showers and storms around the area with a 40% chance of rain. We may have more clouds too, but still enough sunshine to push temperatures up into the low 90s before rain begins in the afternoon hours. And it is possible for rain to develop earlier in the day as well.
