MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A case where a Poplar Grove, Arkansas, man was charged for allegedly shooting, killing a man, and injuring another has been ruled as self-defense, said Arkansas State Police Tuesday evening.
Last month, special agents arrested Decorick Farr, 41, and charged him with first-degree murder in connection with the shooting that occurred on August 5.
The Phillips County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the Arkansas State Police with a shooting that occurred in the 300 block of Phillips County Road at around 2:15 a.m.
38-year-old William Henderson was pronounced dead after being taken to the Helena Regional Medical Center.
The second victim, a 47-year-old man, was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.
He was booked into the Phillips County Detention Center
