LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A boy was kidnapped from a Lincoln park Monday night but quickly found, police say.

About 8 p.m., 48-year-old Daniel Goe of Lincoln lured an 8-year-old boy away from Peach Park near 14th and South streets, according to the Lincoln Police Department.

Police said Goe pulled up in his vehicle and approached the boy about getting food.

The boy got in the vehicle, and when a witness told him to get out, LPD said Goe locked the doors and drove off.

The vehicle passed the boy’s home, and a relative yelled at Goe, who then came to a stop.

Both Goe and the boy were at the home as police arrived.

Police said the man appeared to be drunk, so they conducted a DUI investigation, too.
