ROBINSON, Texas — The Robinson Volunteer Fire Department may soon have a new vehicle unlike any they've had before.

Robinson VFD has announced that six of its members are in Appleton, Wisconsin for the final inspection of Tower 1, a new vehicle for the department.

The department said it is working with its dealer team at Siddons-Martin Emergency Group (SMEG) and the team at Pierce Manufacturing to go over "every detail-line by line and inch by inch" of the new truck to make sure it built "exactly to the needs of the City of Robinson."

Once the inspection is complete, the truck will reportedly head to Texas for the final installation of equipment before it makes its way to its new home in Robinson.
