The months-long speculation about who the starting quarterback will be for the Indianapolis Colts is over.

Daniel Jones was named QB1 on Tuesday.

Jones won the top spot over Anthony Richardson, who the Colts selected with the fourth-overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

After six seasons with the New York Giants, Jones signed a one-year deal with Indianapolis in March. The 28-year-old will now get a chance to revive his career after an underwhelming 24-44-1 record in six seasons in the Meadowlands.

As for Richardson, he will need to wait to get his shot at proving he can be a starter. He’s been limited to 15 games in two seasons for the Colts.
