Although World Photography Day was celebrated on August 19th in Paris, France, in honor of the invention of the daguerreotype in 1839, a group of Venezuelan photographers have showcased their nationally rooted vision and are also defending their craft against the overwhelming influence of social media and artificial intelligence (AI).
