DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) -- The city of Dothan has hired a third contractor for the huge city hall project.
The city approved hiring UES professional solutions, a third-party testing firm, during Tuesday's commission meeting. The contract is almost $400,000.
The firm will test the construction materials, do special inspections, and monitor services for the city hall project. So far, the project has completed rough grading, and they are currently doing foundation work.
"They will start pouring slab and footers in the near future. It's going well with our team, Brasfield and Gorrie, we have worked with them on several projects along with our design team," said Dothan City Manager Randy Morris.
The project is expected to be completed in about a year and a half to two years.
