VIRGINIA, USA — A new poll from Roanoke College shows former Congresswoman and Democrat Abigail Spanberger's lead in Virginia's governor's race has narrowed over Republican Lieutenant Governor Winsome Earle-Sears.
The Roanoke College poll also shows races for lieutenant governor and attorney general within the margin of error.
Spanberger maintains a lead over Earle-Sears by seven points, 46% to 39%. In May, Spanberger led by 17 points in the same Roanoke College poll , 43% to 26%.
In the lieutenant governor and attorney general races, the Democrats lead by only three percentage points, within the margin of error. Democrat Ghazala Hashmi tops Republican John Reid 38% to 35%, and Democrat Jay Jones leads Republican incumbent Jason Miyares 41% to 38%.
