DARE COUNTY, N.C. — In anticipation of the impacts of Hurricane Erin to be felt all along the East Coast , but particularly the Outer Banks and even some parts of Hampton Roads, evacuation orders have been issued for Hatteras and Ocracoke Islands in Dare County, as well as the off-road section of Corolla.

While the Outer Banks have dealt with large tropical storms many times, evacuation orders are less common. Still, residents and locals may recall some of the biggest storms to strike near the Outer Banks that prompted evacuations.

13News Now took a look back at the last three times the Outer Banks was ordered to evacuate after three Category 1 storms made landfall — Florence, Dorian, and most recently Isaias.
