BRADLEY, Ark. — An investigation is now underway following a deadly plane crash in Lafayette County.

According to reports, at about 9:30 p.m. on August 18, the Lafayette County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) was informed of a possible downed plane that was two miles south of Bradley near Arkansas Highway 29.

Hours after receiving the information, at around 3:30 a.m., a helicopter with Arkansas State Police (ASP) found the plane's wreckage in a remote, wooded area.

About two hours later, ASP troopers, LCSO deputies, and first responders made it to the scene of the crash.

Reports say that the pilot and sole occupant of the plane, identified as 54-year-old Barry Boes of Ooltewah, Tennessee, was pronounced dead at the scene.
