FOREST PARK, Ga. — Fire officials are investigating after a fire at a liquor store in Forest Park on Tuesday.
Deputy Chief Jeff May with the City of Forest Park Fire Department said crews were called to the Dixie Package located off Old Dixie Highway at around 5 p.m. on Aug. 19 in reference to heavy smoke seen coming from the store.
Once they arrived, firefighters found heavy fire in the attic of the store, according to May.
At that time, he said firefighters moved away from the building, which became fully engulfed in flames. He also mentioned that the alcohol was a possible contribution to the rapid spread.
According to Forest Park Fire, no injuries have been reported.
At this time, there is no word on what caused the fire.
