The New Orleans Saints have announced today that they won’t name a starting quarterback until after their preseason Week 3 matchup with the Denver Broncos, per head coach Kellen Moore.
The Saints have a three-way battle between rookie quarterback Tyler Shough, Spencer Rattler, and Jake Haener. While Haener is still listed as a candidate for the job in the team’s second unofficial depth chart, it’s likely a battle between Shough and Rattler.
Shough and Rattler have seen the most play time in the preseason and have each been given a chance to start. Through two games, the young signal callers have very similar stats and have each led the offense to two field goals and a touchdown.
Shough and Rattler are both full of potential and could develop into a starter. The Saints are likely hoping
