Blending the sci-fi and western genres should be a surefire recipe for success. But Jon Favreau's 2011 attempt to create a sci-western hybrid died quicker than the genre itself. The director who helped birth the MCU with Iron Man, as well as the criminally underrated drama Chef and the sci-fi gem Zathura, enlisted an all-star cast for his 2011 science-fiction western.
