LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A woman was charged after leaving nine dogs, eight puppies and a rat in a hotel in north Lincoln.
On Aug. 5, law enforcement was made aware of a sanitation complaint at a hotel room in the WoodSpring Suites near Marmot Point Drive and Fletcher Avenue.
According to court records, 40-year-old Crystal Wylie was en route to Rockport, Missouri, at the time and had left several animals behind in the hotel room. The animals had also been left without any water besides a toilet that had been left open.
Officers entered and found animal waste throughout the room. Animal Control said ammonia readings were much higher than permissible.
