SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) - Bill Rhyne won the Republican primary runoff Tuesday for Spartanburg County Sheriff.
Rhyne defeated current Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clevenger in the runoff after the two received the most votes in the August 5 primary.
Rhyne, a retired state trooper and former Spartanburg County deputy, will likely be the next sheriff as he will be unopposed in the November special election.
