RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Henrico County is looking to crack down on the rampant rise of vape shops.
County leaders said vape shops are finding ways to circumvent the rules, and that it is posing a serious health risk to our youth.
One of the concerns is that vape shops appear to be targeting their products toward underage people with fruity flavors and other gimmicks.
“We know for a fact that these vape shops are not checking IDs. They’re selling them to minors. This is a health and a security and a safety issue for our community, for our children, for our residents,” Rev. Roscoe D. Cooper III, Fairfield District Supervisor, said.
