YOUNGSTOWN A Youngstown firefighter on administrative leave was sentenced in court on Tuesday for charges stemming from an incident in April 2025.

Adaris Bellamy was originally charged with two counts of aggravated menacing (M1) for brandishing a rifle at two separate victims.

Youngstown Fire Chief Barry Finley sent a letter to 21 News, dated May 6, that Bellamy had been placed on unpaid administrative leave pending the resolution of his criminal case, effective May 9.

According to a letter sent to Bellamy from the Youngstown Law Department, Bellamy allegedly went to the Warren Township Fire Station on April 7 and brandished a rifle in a sweeping motion at a firefighter at the location.
