Former Stockton mayor Anthony Silva has been indicted on federal charges of bank fraud and identity theft over a $17,000 Paycheck Protection Program loan he received in 2020. Prosecutors allege Silva misrepresented his ownership of Indoor Adventures LLC and concealed a prior felony conviction that should have disqualified him. The loan was later forgiven. Silva denies wrongdoing, calling the case politically motivated. He previously pleaded guilty in 2019 to a felony conflict of interest charge tied to the Stockton Kids Club.
