CLEVELAND, Ohio — The future of the Michigan Wolverines got a little brighter Tuesday as Savion Hiter, the nation’s top running-back in the 2026 class, announced his commitment to Michigan, over powerhouse contenders like Ohio State, Tennessee and Georgia among others.
The 5-foot-11, 200 pound, Mineral, Va. native put up 1,698 rushing yards and 26 touchdowns on just 156 carries, in his junior season, showcasing his elite vision, balance and breakaway speed in the process. Scouts and analysts have likened him to recent NFL first-round back Omarion Hampton.
