Leonard “Lenny” Lauren, the older brother of fashion mogul Ralph Lauren and a vice president at the iconic brand, has died at age 93, according to Women’s Wear Daily .

During his retirement, Lenny split his time between Palm Beach, Westchester, New York, and the Hamptons, as he shared in a January interview with Dan’s Papers .

In that same interview, Lenny offered insight into the Ralph Lauren brand philosophy:

“Ralph Lauren is not just a fashion line. We’re a lifestyle company that includes sunglasses, sheets, home furnishings,” he explained. “The good thing about Ralph Lauren is something you bought 10 years ago can still be worn today. Fashion is in and fashion is out, but Ralph creates style, and style stays.”

Lenny’s life extended well beyond the fashion world, Parade said.
