PROVO, Utah – The Bear Bachmeier era has arrived for BYU football.
On Tuesday, BYU offensive coordinator Aaron Roderick announced that the true freshman transfer from Stanford would be BYU’s starting quarterback to begin the 2025 season.
Bachmeier will be the first true freshman to start at quarterback to open a season.
He beat out McCae Hillstead and Treyson Bourguet for the starting quarterback role.
