Douglas High School football won’t have time to consider any “what-ifs?” following Friday’s loss to Fernley.

The Tigers are home again this Friday to welcome another Class 3A North stalwart in Elko.

“They’ve got a lot of experience coming back and are always very well coached,” said Douglas High head coach Kyle Mays. “They are going to be fast, physical and good.”

Last season, Elko posted an 8-3 record while putting together 3,633 yards of total offense. All but 104 yards of total offense were recorded by players who were juniors or younger in 2024. Elko will bring 20 seniors into Friday’s contest.
