FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Christmas Tree Lane's Walk Nights, a beloved Christmas tradition in Fresno, has been suspended this year, officials said on Tuesday.

Christmas Tree Lane is set to open for its 103rd year beginning early December through Dec. 25. However, unlike previous years, the Fig Garden Homeowners Association has decided to suspend Walk Nights.

Officials said the reason for the Christmas experience suspension was due to the "popularity and growth" of Walk Nights, which have made it "nearly impossible for our small group to put on in a way that ensures the safety of the 35,000 people who attend, and that of our neighborhood."
