MONROE, La. (KNOE) - It was another scorcher for the ArkLaMiss today. This afternoon marked the 7th day so far this year where the high temperature in Monroe has reached or exceed 100 degrees.

Monroe officially reached 100 degrees this afternoon. Monroe’s average high temperature on this date is 94 degrees. We did not set any temperature records today.

El Dorado and Tallulah reached or exceeded 100 degrees as well. For El Dorado, the temperature reach 101 degrees. Our neighbors to the northwest in Texarkana reached 106 degrees.

More heat is on the way for Wednesday, but longer term, cooler weather is expected early next week. Get ready for it!
