NEW ORLEANS, La. ( WBRC ) - The Birmingham Police Department has partnered with the FBI to arrest a capital murder suspect who fled to New Orleans, Louisiana.

Police say the arrest warrant was in connection to the capital murder of John Roulaine.

Roulaine was shot and killed in his vehicle on Monday, Aug. 11 in the 5500 Block of 1st Avenue North.

The Birmingham Police identified the suspect as Harold Dailey, 35, of Birmingham.

Authorities say that on Monday, Aug. 18, the Special Operations Bureau’s Crime Reduction Team (CRT) initiated a fugitive investigation to locate and arrest Dailey.

CRT detectives say they learned that Dailey had fled from Alabama to New Orleans. Police say that the team then requested assistance from the FBI North Alabama Safe Streets Task Force and the FB
