SCAM-IN-PROGRESS
It took a call to the police and the keen observation of a Good Samaritan to stop a scam-in-progress in White Settlement. Body camera footage, shared by the White Settlement Police Department, last summer showed a police sergeant intervening as a woman fed thousands of dollars into a cryptocurrency machine inside a convenience store.
“Please, I have the bank on the phone,” the woman could be heard saying as Sgt. James Stewart approached.
