LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Kentucky State Fair has closed all outside activities for the remainder of the evening due to weather.
In a social media post, they said the decision was made to ensure the safety of fairgoers, staff and performers.
“We appreciate your understanding as we continue to prioritize everyone’s well-being,” the post read .
The Thrill Ville and the Texas Roadhouse Concert series featuring the Happy Together Tour are closed for the evening and will not reopen.
Indoor activities were open until 9 p.m.
Kentucky Venues provided free admission to the World Championship Horse Show at Freedom Hall in light of the weather.
Storms with gusty winds and lightning moved through the Louisville area Tuesday evening.
