KODAK, Tenn. (WVLT) - Soon people in Sevier County could have another option to do their grocery shopping.
Near the Sevierville Visitor Center and Chamber of Commerce, plans are in the works to build a Walmart off of Winfield Dunn Parkway in Sevierville.
Residents in the area said there are pros and cons to the addition.
“I don’t have to deal with that traffic and stuff in Sevierville,” Aaron Beal said. “That’s horrible, like it’s worse than trying to fly an eagle up through there to get up there.”
“It’s going to open up a lot of jobs around here, which I think is going to be awesome,” Jeremiah Dean said.
Sevierville Development Director Cory Divel said it will help keep up with the growth. He said this will be the third Walmart in the area.
