MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — Mountaineer football is less than two weeks away, and while it may not seem like it at first glance, a new study says the gameday experience at WVU has actually gotten cheaper in 2025.

A yearly study conducted by betting website Oddspedia compiles the complete "gameday experience" cost of attending a football game at about 100 institutions across the U.S., which bases its metric on the average prices of the following items: • Two tickets • Two beers • Two sodas • Two hot dogs • Parking

In previous years, WVU has ranked particularly high on these lists, meaning it was among the most expensive gameday experiences in the country, reaching as high as #2 in 2024 and rivaling programs like Notre Dame.
