BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — A 20-year-old man has been accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl he met on Snapchat, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office says.

Deputies were called to an area in west Bexar County for a report of a sexual assault on June 12.

The father of a 15-year-old girl told officials that a man identified as Jeremiah Daniel Leivas drove to his home. That's when his daughter entered his vehicle, leading to Leivas allegedly assaulting her.

The father confronted Leivas, who sped away. The father was able to take a picture of his license plate before he left.

The daughter told deputies that she met Leivas through the social media app Snapchat. She said she told him she was 15 years old.

Investigators were eventually able to identify Leivas thanks to the picture the father
