AUSTIN, Texas — A Texas-sized benefit concert raised millions of dollars for those impacted by the deadly Central Texas floods that left more than 100 people dead last month.

On Sunday, “Band Together Texas” collected more than $8.5 million for The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country and the Central Texas Community Foundation.

Held at Austin’s Moody Center, the event featured Grammy-winning country singer Miranda Lambert and singer-songwriter Parker McCollum. Other performers included Austinite Dylan Gossett, Jack Ingram, Jason Aldean, Cody Johnson and more.

The night kicked off with a speech from Texas-born actor Matthew McConaughey, who honored the flood survivors.
