SILVER BAY, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Four young girls from the Twin Cities are safely reunited with their parents because of the courageous work of a coast guard helicopter crew from two states away in Michigan.
The rescue crew consisted of:

The four coast guard members say it was a challenging rescue and because the survivors were kids, they knew time was essential.
From the moment they were deployed to help to the moment the last girl was rescued, took just over 5 hours.
