CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (KCRG) - Looking at the Northern Iowa volleyball roster is almost like seeing an Iowa high school all-star team.

11 Iowans make up the Panther roster. Some of the top players from the state want to go to UNI because of head coach Bobbi Petersen’s culture.

“Bobbi Petersen is truthfully one of a kind, like, you don’t get this coaching anywhere else,” said junior outside hitter Lily Dykstra, an Urbandale graduate. “(The coaches) recruit on talent, they recruit good people, and so it just makes you want to stick around. It makes you want to be with them. It truthfully is like a little family instead of just like a business.”

The Panthers have won the last three MVC tournament and regular season titles, with some of the top recruits in Iowa.
