SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -Watching this year’s Sioux Falls Little League team has brought back memories from the past 8 years. Like Marcus Phillips in 2017 and then Gavin Weir in 2021.

That team Gavin was on captured the attention of the nation. And they gathered to watch the game last night together at Railbirds Sports Bar in Sioux Falls, which was cool for both the parents and players.

So what advice would he give to this year’s team after his experience 4 years ago?

Gavin Weir says, “I would tell them just to be themselves and go have fun. You’re not going to get this experience again, so go out there and have fun and whatever happens happens. Just do your best. Do the little things right and have fun with your teammates.”
