WILLIAMSPORT, PA (Dakota News Now) -The Sioux Falls Little League team had to bounce back quickly from Monday’s loss to Connecticut.
They dropped into the elimination bracket as a result which means a test of the depth of the pitching staff we’ve been talking about from even before they left on this month-long journey.
They faced the Northwest Region champs from Washington in Williamsport, PA on Tuesday night. And with Maxen Snoozy back on the hill, they took an early 1-0 lead on a wild pitch. Snoozy made it stand up striking out 10 straight batters at one point. Washington mounted a serious rally in the 5th loading the bases, but Snoozy got his 13th K of the game on a 3-2 count to end the potential rally.
His teammates then broke open the game with 8 two-out runs in the top of the 6th
