BUCKEYE, Ariz. — A suspect is in the hospital after he allegedly violated an order of protection by driving to his ex-girlfriend's house, threatening her, and shooting at a teen boy who lived in the home. The teen boy and the suspect later got into an altercation, leading to the suspect's injuries.

Buckeye police received reports of a shots-fired call in Buckeye just before 8:30 p.m. on Monday. As officers were responding to the shots-fired call, police received a call for a crash in the area.

When officers arrived at the scene of the crash, they found an injured man in his 50s lying on the ground with a gun nearby. The man was taken to the hospital with possible life-threatening injuries, police said.
