PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland and Gresham police are investigating two shooting incidents believed to be connected that left two people hospitalized Tuesday evening.

The shooting began as gunfire between two vehicles near Northeast Glisan Street and Northeast 167th Avenue in Gresham, according to the Gresham Police Department.

The same group separated and came back together in the area of Pat Pfeifer Park, where multiple callers heard shots and saw subjects with guns, Gresham police confirmed to KGW in an email. Prior to police arrival, involved parties took off from the scene and were last seen in the area of Northeast 172nd Avenue and East Burnside Street.
