H igley Unified Superintendent David Loutzenheiser won’t be stepping up – to the Governing Board dais, that is.
Ending a row among board members over whether he should sit with them, Loutzenheiser last week announced he is withdrawing his request to join them on the dais.
“My goal is to unite, not divide, and to bring us together so we can focus on providing the best for our students, our teachers, and our community,” Loutzenheiser read from a prepared statement.
“While we may not always agree on everything, it is through productive struggle and discussion that we find ways to keep the focus on student outcomes and student successes, not seating arrangements.”
