FLAGSTAFF, AZ (AZFamily) — As back-to-school season gets underway, students at Northern Arizona University up in the High Country are beginning to move in this week.
NAU’s Flagstaff campus was packed this week as students and parents unloaded their cars, filled carts, and moved into their new home for the school year.
Roommates Elizabeth Oakley and Yoselyn Hernandez moved in at the beginning of the week and have picked up on how busy Flagstaff gets when students return to campus.
“It’s good to be back,” Hernandez said. “You definitely feel the energy out there from the students, very welcoming.”
“I moved in on Monday, so there’s definitely a bit of a shift of energy like coming back today,” Oakley said.
The university contributes $1.9 billion to the state’s economy and almost 20,000
