Cincinnati police have charged an eighth individual in connection with a violent street brawl that occurred last month, resulting in multiple injuries. The suspect, a 45-year-old White man whose identity has not been disclosed, faces a disorderly conduct charge, classified as a fourth-degree misdemeanor. Authorities have not released his name due to Marsy’s Law, which allows crime victims to keep their identities confidential. He is scheduled to appear in court on August 26.
The altercation took place in the early hours of July 26 at the intersection of Fourth and Elm streets. Video footage of the incident quickly gained widespread attention online. Last week, Gregory Wright, 32, was charged as the seventh suspect in the case, facing allegations of aggravated riot and aggravated robbery. According to a criminal complaint, Wright is accused of forcibly removing a necklace from a victim while that person was being assaulted by several others. Reports indicate that Wright filmed the incident after taking the necklace.
Earlier this month, a grand jury indicted six individuals for their involvement in the brawl. Those charged include Patrick Rosemond, 38; Jermaine Matthews, 39; Montianez Merriweather, 34; DeKyra Vernon, 24; Dominique Kittle, 37; and Aisha Devaughn, 25. Each of these suspects faces multiple charges, including three counts of felonious assault, three counts of assault, and two counts of aggravated rioting, as confirmed by the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office.
