A former scout leader pressured a 14-year-old girl into having sex with him, leaving her terrified she might be pregnant.

Michael Harper, 21, "took away the [the girl's] innocence long before she ready" when he started a relationship with her before suggesting that they have sex.

Harper was 17 and the girl 14 when he added her as a friend on Instagram and the relationship began, the Liverpool ECHO reports .

They would go on to kiss, before Harper "suggested to her that they have sex", however the girl said no because she didn't want to sleep with someone she was not in a relationship with.

A week after this, Harper asked her to be his girlfriend.
