President Donald Trump recently deployed more than 2,000 National Guard troops in Washington, D.C., in a disputed effort to fight crime in the city.
While Trump has not discussed plans to dispatch troops to other U.S. cities, Mayor Craig Greenberg said he would "strongly oppose" any federal deployments in Louisville in the future.
